Mary Jane Allen King

MARY JANE ALLEN KING, AGE 81 And a resident of Franklinton went to be with her Lord and Savior at 10 am Saturday August 22, 2015 at Good Samaritan Living Center. She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Amite and was a nurse’s aide at the Hammond State School and Lallie Kemp Hospital in Independence for many years. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that loved spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite thing to say to others was “I love you bunches!” She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Terry and Ronnie Moak of Mt. Hermon Son and Daughter in law: Gary and Judy King of Franklinton Daughter in law: Pamela B. King of Pearl River 6 Grandchildren and Spouses: Rikki and Patrick Morris of Ponchatoula, Melissa and Danny Parkinson of Hammond, Christopher and Christian King, Gary Brent King and Crystal Taylor, Amanda and Casey Collins all of Franklinton, Alton Brewer of Pearl River 13 Great-grandchildren: Mason Anthony, Parker Anthony, Alex Morris, Andrew Parkinson, Peyton Parkinson, Polly Parkinson, Braxton King, Heavenly King, Davinie Collins, Khloe Frazier, Jada Sylvest, Skylar Brewer, Gage Brewer Also numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 40 years Claude Stewart King, 2 sons Patrick Keith King and James Gordon King, her parents William Allen and Mattie Ballard Allen, 3 brothers Rev. James Aaron Allen, Charles Moses Allen, and Benjamin Franklin Allen, sister Lerlene Allen Holden, 10 half-brothers and half-sisters, great-grandson Casey Jacob Collins and great-granddaughter Kaylynn Ann King. Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday August 23rd from 6 pm until 9 pm and after 11 am on Monday. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Larry Archote and Rev. Joe Baugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Briar Patch Cemetery near Husser. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the entire staff of Good Samaritan Living Center for their loving care and to the staff of Community Care Hospice for providing comfort and support.
