Ruth Crain Kennedy

RUTH CRAIN KENNEDY, AGE 86 And a resident of the Stateline Community died at 8:21 am Friday December 26, 2014 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a member of Stateline Missionary Baptist Church where she was active in her Sunday School class. Ruth was a former bus driver for the Washington Parish School Board and she enjoyed her time driving young people to Southeastern. She was also a beautician at Heritage Manor nursing home for many years. Ruth was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Pine Chapter #226 and loved traveling, often to the mountains. She adored her family and often rocked the youngest and new babies. Ruth took great care of her family and cherished their time spent together. Survived by: Son and Daughter in law: David and Tami Seal of Bogalusa 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Patricia Louise Pittman and Dail Pittman of Nashville, TN, Denise McKenzie of Stateline 5 Grandchildren and Spouses: Brannon and Beverly Pittman of Newton, NC, Donna and Charlie Chastant of Franklinton, Brandi and Joel Sims of Gallman, MS, Bridgett and Gordon Cliburn of Strong Hope, MS, Yvette and Keith Holmes of Tylertown, MS 10 Great-grandchildren: Jeremiah Pittman, Bryce Pittman, Seth Pittman, Avery Pittman, Macie McKenzie, Daylon McKenzie, Caleb Miller, Kaden McKenzie, Taylor Barrett, Case Cliburn 4 Great-great-grandchildren: Autumn Pittman, Josie Pittman, Sawyer Barrett, Tatum Barrett 4 Sisters: Nella Corkern of Metairie, Mary Borde of Bogalusa, Willene Adams of Crossett, AR, Wilda Bufkin of Bogalusa Brother: Shelton Crain of Covington Also numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by husbands Olen Seal and Bryce Kennedy, a son Richard L. Seal, her parents Robert Willis Crain and Lutie Knight Crain, grandsons Dusty McKenzie and Ricky Seal, a son in law Donald Bruce McKenzie, sisters Verlie Breland, Agnes Ard, Patsy Lou Crain and Vera Kennedy, and brothers Woodrow Wilson Crain and Carl Ray Crain. Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday December 29th from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Glen Nace and Eld. Clyde Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Seal Cemetery.
