TONY RANKIN FORBES, AGE 74 And a resident of Franklinton died Wednesday afternoon January 13, 2021 at Riverside Medical Center. He was an iron-worker employed with Lambert Construction for many years. Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He loved planting a great garden each year, including tomatoes, greens, strawberries and even sugar cane, which he always shared with his family and neighbors. Tony was a great cook, especially his roast and biscuits. He had a great sense of humor and liked to joke around with his family and others. Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Angela and Casey Callender of Bogalusa, Jennifer Phelps of Franklinton Grandchildren and Spouses: Macey and Gage Thomas, Amber Killingsworth, Courtney and Chris Magee, Cody Stringer 6 Great-grandchildren Siblings: Penny Forbes of Franklinton, Ronnie and Naomi Forbes of Progress, MS 3 Step-daughters and Spouses: Frances Wannette Graves of Franklinton, Carol Ann W. Jenkins and Jeremy Jenkins of Pine, Toni Annette W. King and H.T. Penton, Jr. Step-grandchildren: James Emeriah Graves and Amber Tribe, Victoria Lachelle Graves and Jonathan Magee, Amy Chantyle Woodward and Jordan Gilmore, Blayton Koyle Lea, Braxton Wayne King, Heavenly Angal King Step-great-grandchildren: Novalee, Lyvia, Jaxtyn, Meya, Jeremiah, Kendalyn Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members He was preceded in death very recently by his wife of 18 years Linda Woodward Forbes, son Wendell Stringer, parents Toxie Forbes and Lena Lott Forbes, brothers Willie Forbes, Roy Forbes, Don Forbes and 2 great-nieces. A memorial service to honor Tony’s life, as well as the life of his wife Linda Woodward Forbes, will be held at Crain Funeral Home Friday evening January 22nd. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 5:00 pm until the service at 7:00 pm.
