Carolyn Lanford Lebo

Carolyn Lanford Lebo went to her Heavenly Home Friday May 9, 2025. She passed peacefully surrounded by family. Because she knew Christ, to be absent here meant an immediate flight to Jesus, and also being reunited with her late husband Albert, and other loved ones awaiting her arrival. Carolyn was born February 8, 1948, and raised in Mount Hermon by parents J.L. and Ollie Lanford. She shared a very special bond of love with them and her three sisters and brother. Carolyn married her sweetheart on January 28, 1967 and they were blessed to spend 57 years together before he went Home this past September. She loved her children, grandchildren and “greats” deeply, as well as many nieces, nephews, of whom she loved like her own. Carolyn had a very calming spirit and was always there to offer good, sound advice for family and friends. She worked for many years in the Mt. Hermon School cafeteria before retiring and she was an excellent cook. Plus, no one made sweet tea better than her. She was a longtime member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, where she helped with children’s ministries. Carolyn loved to sing hymns, her favorites being In The Garden and He Keeps Me Singing. She sang until she couldn’t and is now singing praises to Him forever. We will always cherish her love, strength and guidance through the years. Until we meet again…. Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Becky and Scott Magee Son and Daughter in law: Jimmy and Melissa Lebo Grandchildren and Spouses: Mitchel Magee (Catherine), LeAnna Kerbow (Dustin), Brandon Lebo (Brittney), Austin Lebo, Nate Lebo Great-grandchildren: Ayden, Lane and Haidyn Magee, Emma and Paige Perrett, Weston and Waylon Kerbow, Dakota Lebo Brother and Sister in law: Charles and Rachel Lanford Sister and Brother in law: Peggy and Jessie Strickland Also numerous nieces, nephews and their families She was preceded in death by her husband Albert James Lebo, Sr., parents J.L. Lanford and Ollie Dykes Lanford, step-mother Allie Lanford, sisters Ernestine Lanford Miller, Lena Lanford Leonard, father in law and mother in law Alton and Ella Mae Lebo and other family members. Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday May 13th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. Darryl Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Mitchel Magee, Dustin Kerbow, Brandon Lebo, Austin Lebo, Jeremy Painter, Trent Painter Honorary Pallbearers are grandson Nate Lebo, great-grandsons Ayden Magee, Lane Magee, Haidyn Magee, Weston Kerbow, Waylon Kerbow
