NATALIE JENKINS HARRIS, AGE 95 And a resident of Franklinton died at 6:00 am Tuesday February 12, 2013 at her home. She was a 1934 graduate of Franklinton High School and her family was the owner/operators of Jenkins Brothers Grocery and Shop & Save for over 30 years. Mrs. Natalie was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church of Franklinton where she taught Sunday school for 40 years and through the years often traveled with the Merry Hearts. She enjoyed crocheting and was a member of the Franklinton Garden Club. Mrs. Natalie had a large group of close friends who spent hours talking on the phone and could often be found walking around their neighborhood. She was a very kind lady and one of the nicest people anyone could ever meet. She was always a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A special thank you to Penny Singleton for the care, support and friendship she provided to Mrs. Natalie during the last 6 years. Survived by: 2 Sons and Daughters in law: John T. Harris, Jr. and Ann Crain Harris, Danny Harris and Malinda Bridges Harris all of Franklinton 6 Grandchildren and Spouses: Paul Cooper Harris and Lisa Harris of Hattiesburg, MS, Terry Michael Harris, Robert Jeffrey Harris, Dana Olivia Harris all of Franklinton, Christina Rebecca Bullock and Jason Bullock of Lumberton, MS, Daniel Shea Harris and Bridget Harris of Pine 4 Great-grandchildren: Phelan M. Harris, Kiersten Lee Harris, Autumn Jana Bullock, Natalee Grace Harris Also numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her husband John T. Harris, a son Phillip Gene Harris, her parents Louis Early Jenkins and Sarah Olivia Burkhalter Jenkins, twin infant grandsons, sisters Myrtis Tullos, Estelle Hennesy, and brothers Henry Jenkins, Claude Jenkins, Les Jenkins, Earnest Jenkins, and Walter Jenkins Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday February 13th from 6 pm until 9 pm and after 9 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Watts, Rev. Dale Parker and Rev. Pete Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her honor to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
